Allmänna regler för all användning av användarkonton och datornät vid [ORGANISATION]

Användning av [ORGANISATION] datornät syftar till att underlätta studier, forskning och utförande av ordinarie arbetsuppgifter. Annan användning kan vara tillåten under förutsättning att den inte inkräktar på ordinarie arbetsuppgifter eller kommer [ORGANISATION] till skada. För anställda och övriga verksamma svarar [PREFEKT/MOTSVARANDE] för bedömningen av tillåten användning.

I övrigt gäller

• att all användning av användarkonton och datornät ska följa Sveriges lagar och förordningar,
• att användarkonton, lösenord och koder är personliga och får endast användas av innehavaren,
• att datorer, mobila enheter och andra nätanslutna utrustningar som ansluts till [ORGANISATION] datornät ska ha relevant skydd såsom antivirus antispyware och brandvägg samt
• att SUNET:s etiska regler reglerar övrig tillåten användning. SUNET fördömer som oetiskt när någon
  • försöker få tillgång till nätverksresurser utan att ha rätt till det
  • försöker dölja sin användaridentitet
  • försöker störa eller avbryta den avsedda användningen av nätverken
  • uppenbart slösar med tillgängliga resurser (personal, maskinvara eller programvara)
  • försöker skada eller förstöra den datorbaserade informationen
  • gör intrång i andras privatliv
  • försöker förolämpa eller förnedra andra.

Den som överträder, eller misstänks överträda, ovanstående regler kan stängas av från nätet för utredning. Dessutom kan disciplinära eller rättsliga åtgärder komma att vidtas.

General rules for usage of user accounts and computer networks at [ORGANISATION]

The usage of [ORGANISATION]'s computer network is intended to facilitate studying, research and the execution of normal working duties. Other types of usage can be permitted provided it does not impinge on the intended usage or cause harm to [ORGANISATION]. In the case of employees and other active individuals the [HEAD OF DEPARTMENT OR EQUIVALENT] is responsible for making a decision regarding acceptable usage. 

The following generally applies:

• that all usage of user accounts and computer networks follow Sweden's laws and by-laws, 
• that user accounts, password and codes are individual and shall only be used by the intended individual,
• that computers, mobile devices and other network-connected equipment that is connected to [ORGANISATION]'s computer network must have relevant protection such as anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall, and finally
• that SUNET's ethical rules regulate the "other" usage. SUNET judges unethical behaviour to be when someone
  • attempts to gain access to network resources that they do not have the right to
  • attempts to conceal their user identity
  • attempts to interfere or disrupt the intended usage of the network
  • clearly wastes available resources (personnel, hardware or software)
  • attempts to disrupt or destroy computer-based information
  • infringes on the privacy of others
  • attempts to insult or offend others.

Any person found violating or suspected of violating these rules can be disconnected from the network for investigation. Furthermore, disciplinary or legal action can be taken.
